Our Community

With 28 elementary and 7 secondary schools spread across the Nipissing and Parry Sound regions, the Near North District School Board Community encompasses a variety of municipalities, First Nation Bands, and townships. The Near North District School Board includes numerous community partners in committees such as SEAC (Special Education Advisory Committee) and FNAC (First Nations Advisory Committee).

Near North schools are integral part of our community, and with the recent introduction of the Community Use of Schools initiative, community groups have increased access to our facilities. Our facilities are often available for rentals by community groups, review the information in the Community Use of Schools pages to help book one of our facilities for your next event!
