Math Help for Grades 4 - 12
Do you have trouble understanding how to add fractions? Struggling with an algebra assignment? Extra help is now available at no cost to you!
Check out TVO Mathify, where certified Ontario teachers are online 7 days a week to provide free math tutoring for Grade 4 to 12 math students in the Near North District School Board.
You can log in Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. as well as Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., for one-on-one help in a safe, secure online environment. There are interactive whiteboards where you can draw, type, or upload a question to work on with an Ontario certified math teacher.
To access TVO Mathify, you will need a username and password. All grade 4-12 students should have created an account in their math classes by the end of November. Students can continue to access their TVO Mathify account until the end of grade 12. Registration can also be done at home.
Students can also access TVO Mathify through the link on this page, or on our Learning Management System (LMS) homepage, which uses your NNDSB login and saves having to remember another username/password!
All students have a virtual locker that houses all of their tutor chat sessions in video format for viewing anytime.
Studies show that students who like math and have solid math skills are more likely to succeed in school and later in life. TVO Mathify is another addition to the online resources available to support our students in math.
