ABL Adult Basic Literacy	647 McKay Ave North Bay Scott Rideout Alison Todoroff 705-472-5419	This adult program is open to individuals 19 years of age and older who need to upgrade their literacy and numeracy literacy. This is a support program, non-credit granting. Learners may purse secondary school credits, college programs, employment, or apprenticeships through our Continuing Ed Department. All services are free and city bus passes will be provided for qualified individuals. Monday to Friday

Continuing Education Program, Self-Study North Bay and Parry Sound	647 McKay Ave North Bay Heather Purdy 705-472-5419 Parry Sound site – by appointment Ashley Hutchins ashley.hutchins@nearnorthschools.ca	Self-study program for students over 18. Students register with the teacher and develop a learning plan to graduation. Students work on their assigned plan, independently.
Continuing Education Program, Self-Study Powassan, South River, Burke’s Falls	Almaguin Adult Learning Centre Randie (Reanda) Doornink 705-386-0764	Partnered program where students can meet with a support person to prepare a learning plan and course of work to complete their OSSD. All work is processed through the NNDSB.
Day School - mPLAR	647 McKay Ave North Bay Amy Johnson Amy.Johnson@nearnorthschools.ca 705-472-5419	mPLAR teacher establishes a list of eligible students throughout the region and meets with each student at their home school to establish a learning plan. mPLAR is in place to support students in their 18th year with a return to “on track” to graduation. Students participate in assessments to gain credits towards their OSSD.

Runs at Laurentian Learning Centre Monday to Friday. Partnered with the Multicultural Centre to support adults. Classes are designed to service a wide range of abilities/experience with English
First Nation Continuing Education	Nipissing FN Magnetewan FN Moose Deer Point FN Henvey Inlet FN Heather Purdy Heather.Purdy@nearnorthschools.ca 705-472-5419	Contact is through Victoria Houle in the Parry Sound region. Monday to Friday, students can meet with an instructional lead to participate in a learning plan that leads to the OSSD. All work is marked by the NNDSB.
Laurentian Learning Centre Day School	647 McKay Ave North BayTerri Reidt - Secretary terri.reidt@nearnorthschools.ca 705-472-5419	Referral Program for grade 10-12 students. Runs in 10-week quadmesters. Students are referred from home schools for a variety of reasons. Small setting, project-based learning. Program runs 8:50-2:50 daily, Monday to Friday, September to June.
Night School, Co-op	Various schools: Guidance Terri Reidt Terri.Reidt@nearorthschools.ca 705-472-5419	Students 16 and over can register for one or two credits of coop that take place outside of the day school schedule. Students register at their home school through their guidance department
Night School, Repertoire	Various schools: Guidance Terri Reidt Terri.Reidt@nearorthschools.ca 705-472-5419	Grades 9 -12 students can participate in an afterschool credit, related to arts programming. Students can request this opportunity through their home school.
PADDLE	235 Albert Street North Bay Terri Reidt 705-472-5419	The PADDLE Program (Providing Adults with Developmental Disabilities Lifelong Experiences) is parent driven initiative that received start-up pilot project funding from the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services.   Off-site program for adults Monday to Friday
Personal Support Worker Program	Cassellholme in North Bay Belvedere Heights in Parry Sound psw-application@nearnorthschools.ca	Adult program for students 18+, in long-term care. Students may graduate with their OSSD as well as their Provincially recognized PSW Certificate. Students may earn up to six credits through the program as well as participate in placement that may lead to employment. More information can be found on our website.
Seven Stones Adult Continuing Education Programming	1009 Cassells Street North Bay Rachel Yordy Rachel.Yordy@nearnorthschools.ca	Students from throughout the region can be referred to or select this avenue of engagement. Seven Stones has an indigenous perspective built into credit delivery and experiences. Students earn credits through the Continuing Education Department.
