Near North District School Board Student Senate 2016-2017 The NNDSB Student Senate is composed of representatives from each of the seven high schools. The Senate is determined to advocate on behalf of student voice at the board level, help instill a sense of unity among all secondary schools, and represent current issues that students are facing. In order to achieve these goals, the Student Senate meets monthly to discuss and work through issues that are brought forward by the student body.
This year’s Student Senate will be focusing on the following issues: life literacy, FNMI student engagement, and mental health. Senators are always looking for input and suggestions regarding the three topics listed above, as well as other initiatives or issues that are affecting students.
