Extended French Facts
It’s never too late to learn a second language.
The aim of the Extended French program is to develop students’ French-language knowledge and skills to provide them with an understanding and appreciation of francophone culture in Canada and around the world. At the secondary level, schools may grant a certificate in Extended French when the student has completed a sequence of four courses in Extended French and three courses in other subjects taught in French.
