Information for families during labour disruptions
There are actions parents, guardians and students can take that may help minimize disruptions to learning in the event of a cohort, school, or system closure. For example:
- Students should frequently access online learning platforms (Edsby, LMS, Office 365) to connect with their teacher and access learning resources
- Families who are not able to access learning using technology should contact the school office and arrange alternative opportunities to access learning materials/packages
- Reach out to the school if communication is not being received
- Regularly communicate with their teacher (Microsoft Teams, e-mail, phone etc.)
- Contact the family help desk number if unable to login – 705-472-5169 (North Bay), 705-773-7975 (Parry Sound)
- Access the Passport to learning page for resources to support learning remotely
- Review the tips for @home Learning
We will endeavour to update information in a timely manner, recognizing that the current labour environment changes quickly and frequently.
