employment-ontario-logo.png The Learning Connection is funded by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development.

The Laurentian Learning Centre (LLC) was fully operational in January 2013.  The building was renovated to accommodate a variety of Alternative Education Programs for school age and adult learners.  The Near North District School Board made this a priority in 2012 to provide programs for At-Risk students and Early School Leavers to attain an OSSD or OSSC.

The Alternative Secondary Program has four teachers and accepts students between the ages of 16 and 19 years of age.  These students are engaged in learning to meet their individual needs through a variety ofexperiences. We have a full functioning kitchen where foods courses are offered that can lead to Dual Credit pathways at Canadore College.
