Childcare & school aged programs
Childcare fee subsidy is a program that is intended to help families with the cost of their child care expenses. It supports eligible families by paying a portion of their total licensed childcare costs as funding permits.

Each Spring, a survey entitled “The Childcare Program Needs Survey” is available to all families in the region in both digital and paper versions. The goal of this survey is to understand the needs for childcare programs for school-aged children and to assist with child care program and service planning. The data collected from this survey is used to determine childcare program feasibility and the types of programs required.
Many families benefit from childcare and family support services located within our school buildings. While each location may offer different programs, all are designed to provide children and families with an opportunity to learn and grow, providing a more convenient approach to school and childcare, with fewer transitions for children and families.

NNDSB provides a variety of childcare options for children from the age of 0 to 12. We offer these programs in schools throughout the region to make it convenient for you to find reliable childcare.
EarlyON centres offer free, high-quality drop-in programs for families and children from birth to 6 years old. Please reach out to your EarlyON Centre to confirm programming and pre-register for your participation.
