Here at Almaguin we offer two theatre-oriented programs. The first being our regular Drama course, which is offered in grades 9-12 and available in both college and university level in senior-level courses. This course focuses on all aspects of theatre; from script writing, to lighting and sound design to acting on stage. This course provides each student an opportunity to experience each job in theatre. Our second, and one of the newest programs available at AHSS, is our Theatre Production course. In this class students are expected to produce shows at a higher-caliber than that of a regular drama course. The focus in this course is less on acting, and more so on the quality of tech used, such as lighting techniques and prop design.
