Almaguin Highland’s is home to Tartan Theatre; and Tartan Theatre is home for countless students. Tartan Theatre has been an extra-curricular at Almaguin since 2006. Since then, Tartan has performed over thirty shows for our community and Festival competitions at the District, Northern Regional and All Ontario levels. Tartan Theatre is an opportunity to collaborate, create and perform – sharing our love for theatre. Tartan does not only offer acting experience in the spotlight, but a show cannot be complete without a tech-crew. Our program offers students interested in lighting, sound, costume design, set and prop design, stage managing and directing a chance to learn new skills, or improve upon old ones.
