Opening Day
Mr. Pavone and staff will welcome all Raiders on opening day, Tuesday, September 6th.  Students should report to Chippewa by 8:45 a.m. Grade 7 and 8 students should be seated in the auditorium and Grade 9 students should be seated in the cafeteria by 8:50 a.m.  Grade 10-12 students are to report to their Period 1 class at 8:50am.

School Timings
Buses will depart at the normal time (3:10pm) on opening day (please note that school timings for 2016-2017 school year for all students Gr.7-12 include: class begins 8:50am with warning bell 8:45am; lunch 11:30-12:20pm-; class dismissal 3:00pm).

New Pupil Registration
Extended French, French Immersion, ExcelleRaider (Pre-IB) and all other students eligible to attend Chippewa who have not registered and/or submitted a course selection sheet, are asked to call the school and make an appointment for the week of August 29 to September 1.   Administration and our guidance counsellors will assist students and parents with educational planning for the 2016-2017 school year. New students must bring a transcript from their previous school.
Get a Head Start!
On Wednesday, August 31 from 11:00-12:30pm all new students to CSS along with Grade 9 students and parents are invited to attend an orientation session and should report to the Auditorium. Students will visit their classes and participate in group activities sponsored by your Students' Council along with a BBQ lunch in our courtyard. Our orientation session will focus on Grade 9, however we do encourage students who are new to Chippewa to please attend the session as you are welcomed to tour the school. Students will also have a chance to find their classrooms with the help of our student volunteers and meet our principal and vice-principal. Students are responsible for their own transportation. Don't get lost on the first day. Find your way with our help!
School Council
Chippewa parents are encouraged to serve on the School Council to promote a strong, successful school. Interested parents are invited to attend the first meeting on, Monday, September 19 at 6:30 pm in the school main office area.
