Laurentian Learning Centre – Day School (Full-time, in-class environment, credit bearing, OSSD, OSSC)
Laurentian Learning Centre day school is a place where students find their way through learning environments that vary widely and often include self-directed projects, experiential learning opportunities, business opportunities, engaging co-operative education programs and credit recovery opportunities. Realizing that all students learn differently, the opportunities for experiential, hands-on authentic learning is available to help all students who may have an exceptionality or just need a little extra support. The school offers a small class environment that can help with reducing stress and anxiety and provides more of an opportunity for one-on-one conferencing with teachers. Working with teachers, students can complete a variety of academic credits that will support them to graduation, gaining an OSSD or OSSC and on to their future pathways. Schooling can be overwhelming for some, but with the help of the staff and administration success is very much a possibility.
