South River Public School, located in the village of South River, is a Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 school. It serves the townships of Machar, Lount and Laurier, with most graduating students transitioning to Almaguin Highlands Secondary School.
South River Storm students embrace nature and our large playground and Early Learning Kindergarten Forest School provide the ideal space for outdoor learning, cooperative games and purposeful play.
We cultivate positive personal attributes and civility amongst students, and value our community partnerships to foster positive attitudes, values and behaviours. These qualities are promoted explicitly, modeled, taught, expected, celebrated, and continuously practiced in everyday actions.
