Every Child Matters On Friday, September 27th, Silver Birches will recognize Orange Shirt Day. Students are encouraged to wear orange to remember the wrongs of residential school, and to honour the victims. We will share some age-appropriate learning and messages with our students. We are a “Zones” School! Zones of Regulation is a way of teaching self-regulation and self-control. Students learn a common vocabulary of emotional terms. They also learn the importance of reading facial expressions and body language, along with calming and alerting strategies.
