Greetings Woodland Lynx Students and Parents!
We hope that everyone is well and taking care of themselves and their families during these unusual times. As of Monday April 6th, 2020, we have begun the next phase of learning at home for our Elementary students – JK to Grade 6. You should have started to receive lessons (either via email or Edsby) from your child’s teacher to support them through this phase. Our staff have been working over the last two weeks to find solutions to the many challenges that Covid 19 presents to our schools and our students and their families. Please know that we do not have all the answers as of yet and we are working diligently at finding the best ways to support all of our students.
We continue to miss you and are hoping that you are feeling better reaching out to your teachers this week. We also know that this situation with Covid-19 may be creating some additional stress for you and your families. Please know we want to continue to support you with your mental health. The following link will provide you with trained people to help. This “check-in” will support students who have previously received counselling at Woodland but also those of you and your families that have new mental health needs and are not connected to a counsellor.
Please go to: https://www.nearnorthschools.ca/we-are-here-to-help/ and do take care.
As already noted on our Facebook page, we ask that our families go the the Near North District School Board website for the most up to date information regarding the Corona Virus.
Should you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to email us directly at amanda.meighan@nearnorthschools.ca michelle.passmore@nearnorthschools.ca.
Thank you.
Be well, be safe.
