Please know this is not an extensive list, but one that will get you to start thinking about school supplies.\u00a0This year we are planning on spending as much time outdoors that we are able to,\u00a0so it is important that your child come to school dressed appropriately for the weather! Learning supplies and tools will need to be individual to each student this year, so please consider providing\u00a0items and supplies for your student. Please note that this is not mandatory, however we are trying to eliminate the sharing of personal items! Below is a chart with some suggestions for\u00a0school supplies, and personal items.\u00a0The key to keeping items with their owners is to LABEL EVERYTHING!<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>Suggested School Supplies<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<th>School Supply\u00a0Recommendations<\/th>\n<th>Personal Items\u00a0Recommendations<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"vertical-align: top;\">If you can label personal supply items that would be good.<\/p>\n<p>(<em>Please remember this is not extensive and your child&#8217;s teacher will send home recommendations depending on grade\/program).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; pencil<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; eraser<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; ruler<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; markers<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; scissors<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; glue stick<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; pencil case\/box<\/td>\n<td style=\"vertical-align: top;\">-refillable water bottle (bottle filling station is available)<\/p>\n<p>-a bag to store clean masks and used masks<\/p>\n<p>-indoor shoes<\/p>\n<p>-change of clothes, we will try to be outdoors as much as possible<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>NOTE: All water bottles will be sent home daily for washing<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Tips for Getting Ready for School<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Keeping in mind that physical distancing is key to the safety of everyone, here are some thoughts and suggestions to help make an easier transition back to our classroom learning environment:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Face Masks- Must be worn by Grade 4-6 students while in the school and on the school bus.\u00a0\u00a0In order to keep your child\u2019s labelled mask germ-free send a container or bag to place the mask while eating or to dispose of for cleaning.\u00a0 Send an extra mask or 2 in a clean bag, as personal items tend to end up on the floor.\u00a0\u00a0All bags and masks need to be labelled.\u00a0 Masks will be coming home each evening as students taking the bus must wear them.<\/li>\n<li>Practice wearing a mask!<\/li>\n<li>Hand washing will be a big focus in schools but we ask that you please practice hand washing with your child at home as well.<\/li>\n<li>A lunch bag with reusable containers.
