Beginning in kindergarten, the French Immersion program offers children the opportunity to develop a high proficiency in French while continuing to develop English language skills.
Starting in Grade 5, the Extended French program provides students the ability to further their learning in the French language.
|Specialist High Skills Majors (SHSM)
Grade 11 and 12 students are able focus their learning in a specific sector within an SHSM while continuing to meet the requirements necessary to graduate from secondary school.
|Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics (STEAM)
Delivered at West Ferris Intermediate and Secondary School, the STEAM program offers a project-based learning format using a variety of computer-based technologies covering the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.
Offered at Widdifield Secondary School, Arts Nipissing provides students who have an interest and talent in the Arts an opportunity to study in-depth in one of the six Arts disciplines.
|International Baccalaureate (IB Program)
The International Baccalaureate Program is a globally recognized, academically challenging and balanced program for univeristy-bound grade 11 and 12 students at Chippewa Intermediate and Secondary School.
| Alternative and Adult Learning
Laurentian Learning Centre offers At-Risk students and early school leavers with the a fresh start to achieve their OSSD or OSSC. Laurentian Learning Centre also provides multiple programs for adult learners including: the Access Program for learners over 18 with mental health or addiction issues, Lifelong Learning, the Learning Connection and English as a Second Language.
