The NNDSB delivery model is one that focuses on school-based programming for students within regular classes. The classroom teacher accommodates and/or modifies the program according to individual needs and strengths as described in the I.E.P. Additional support is provided by special education teachers who provide direct instruction, assessment and consultation at the school level.
Board level services are available to support schools. This includes behaviour support services, counselling services, vision and hearing services, speech-language services and psycho-educational services. Self-contained settings are also available when student support requires alternative programming.
