Chippewa Intermediate Students Giving Back
Raider-Aid is asking their fellow Raiders to 'Play so they can play' during their toy drive this year. When any student donates a new or gently used toy for Chippewa's toy drive this year, they have the opportunity to share in the spirit of play this Christmas season.
"By sharing a toy with somebody who may not receive one this holiday season, Chippewa students get to connect with the child inside all of us and experience a play period," states staff advisor Jessica Bradford.
"For example, students will get the opportunity to paint, make play-dough or play an old school board game and remember what it is like to be a kid. Hopefully by making this connection, students will start to understand what it would be like at Christmas not to get any presents to play with," adds staff advisor Chris Cassidy.
The toy drive runs from Tuesday December 6th to Monday December 13th at Chippewa Intermediate Secondary School. All donated toys are asked to be new or gently used. Stuffed animals are not accepted for allergy reasons. All toys will be given to LIPI [Low Income People Involvement] and any toys from the community are welcome in the main office.
