2012-13 School Year Calendar Survey 

 

Each year a committee of representatives from each of the four local boards determines the best options for the next year’s school calendar. We must have 194 instructional days, including a maximum of six Professional Activity Days and a maximum of ten examination days for our secondary schools.  Our community and our staff are then surveyed to determine their interest in the different options. A report is then prepared to our respective Boards and the final decision is sent to the Ministry of Education. Should a modified calendar (outside of September 1^st to June 30^th) be selected it must be submitted to the Ministry of Education for approval.
